The article considers the general characteristics and features of legal regulation of intellectual property objects within the World Trade Organization. Dynamic international economic relations between the world’s nations have led to intellectual property problems. Since today the problem of legal regulation of intellectual property objects is relevant all over the world, States envisage the use of best practices. The objective of the work is the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights, adopted within the framework of the WTO, and the legal analysis of common standards and norms in the field of intellectual property law, provided by the agreement. Formal and scientific approaches to the study of legal problems arising in the process of formation, development and regulation of the intellectual property sector were also used. In conducting this study, the authors used general scientific methods, such as the method of scientific abstraction, qualitative expert assessment and structural analysis. The theoretical significance of the study lies in the fact that the work provides theoretical conclusions that can be used in scientific and practical developments on the issues raised. In conclusion, the authors named the effectiveness of the system of legal regulation of intellectual property objects within the WTO, allowing to form an effective national state system of intellectual property, in accordance with standards and implemented on the basis of its principles.
