Abstract

This article describes the mechanism of the Universal Periodic Review of Human Rights proposed by the United Nations Human Rights Council. The Republic of Kazakhstan, along with all other 192 UN member states, is actively participating in this important international event, showing the current state of human rights in the country. The Universal periodic Review is of great importance because it helps all States, including Kazakhstan, gain valuable experience in improving the implementation of international covenants, agreements, and conventions on human rights that they have ratified. In January of this year, the official delegation of the Republic of Kazakhstan presented the results of ensuring the protection and protection of human and civil rights in the country and planned a set of actions and measures to improve human rights in the future.
