The sphere of international tourism in Kazakhstan is gaining turnovers and in the future it will become a profitable sphere that will be able to compete with the most profitable sectors of the Kazakh economy. Therefore, today we need to train highly qualified legal specialists who could professionally solve all organizational and legal problems of tourist institutions. They could also become candidates for vacant positions in the interstate and non-governmental tourism organizations, as well as in the Committee of the Tourism Industry of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The article attempts to show both the features of international and Kazakh tourist law in the form of a special course within the specialty «International Law», and the specificity of its teaching. Students and teachers can understand the dual understanding of the term «convention» in the international tourism sphere, as well as an understanding of the status of interstate and non-governmental tourism organizations. Knowledge about Kazakhstan's tourism infrastructure, the classification of Kazakhstan's laws and rules on the regulation of legal relations in the Kazakh tourist environment will be interesting and useful for students at universities.
