Abstract

In international law, a new generation of human rights is being formed – “environmental human rights”.

The article examines the Kazakh and international legal framework for securing and protecting environmental human rights, their types in Kazakhstan and the world. Particular attention is paid to the problem of the impact of climate change on human rights, as well as the activities of the UN human rights treaty bodies on recognizing this problem.

The results of the study emphasize the need to recognize the status of climate refugees and protect environmental human rights during armed conflicts.
