Abstract

The annual increase in the number of criminal offenses committed against the sexual integrity of minors gives rise to the need to strengthen state policy in the field of protecting the rights and freedoms of minors in the country. Despite the adoption of a number of documents at the international and national level in the field of protecting and ensuring the rights and freedoms of minors in the country, the safety of minors in society and family is still not maintained. According to statistics from the competent government bodies, the number of crimes against the sexual integrity of minors is still not decreasing. A special category of minors are children with disabilities.  Children with disabilities are at very high risk of becoming victims of sexual violence. However, due to the low likelihood of being reported to law enforcement agencies, crimes committed against children in this category remain latent. At the same time, effective solutions are proposed to improve the prevention of criminal offenses against the sexual integrity of minors.
